Duration: 3.5 hours

Highlights: Discover the other side of Magnetic Island that few people experience, on our fun 3.5 hour guided West Coast Eco Adventure, plus koala and wildlife spotting and photo opportunities along the way!

We will take a slow bus trip along the West Point road as we explore mangroves, forests, creeks and waterfalls (in season), as well as historic and cultural sites. Some points of interest will vary according to tides and weather, i.e., mangroves at high or low tide, and waterfalls in or out of wet season.

What's Included: A refreshing complimentary morning spread: a comforting cup of tea, energizing coffee, or chilled juice, paired with a shared seasonal fruit platter and classic sweet treats.

Accessibility: This tour features a relaxing wander rather than an active adventure, with 2 to 3 easy, low-impact walks through mangroves, salt marshes, creek lines, and the beach at West Point. To ensure comfort and accessibility, our bus is equipped with a drop-down step for easier boarding.

West Point Sunset Tour

DURATION: 2.5 hours

Highlights: Experience the spectacular sunsets and cloud-scapes at West Point, with panoramic views over the Coral Sea and mainland Australia. Includes koala spotting and a photo stop along the way, plus nocturnal wildlife spotting on your return trip.

What's included: Unwind with complimentary drinks—champagne, beer, wine, or fruit juice—while enjoying a seasonal charcuterie-style platter to share, with your choice of a picnic rug or chair.

Returns to the Nelly Bay ferry terminal: 7.10 - 7.45pm (depending on winter/summer season) for 8pm ferry to Townsville.

Maggie Island Brewery - it doesn't get more local than this!

The beers on our MI Ride tours come from Maggie Island Brewery, a small nano-brewery located in Picnic Bay right next door to our office.

Their fresh, preservative-free beers are brewed on-site with plenty of island character. Because our office is a 30-second walk away, getting our supply requires zero freight, zero delivery vehicles, and zero transport emissions across the island.

It allows us to offer a genuinely local product while practising responsible, low-impact tourism. When you enjoy a cold beer with us the chances are it hasn't travelled nearly as far as you have. Now that’s local!
